Biographical Data:

  • In August of 1964, Judge Bianchini, after having received training as a tank platoon commander, parachutist, and Force Reconnaissance platoon commander during law school, entered active duty with the Marine Corps, and thereafter served as a combat correspondent and photojournalist and combat air crew in Vietnam from 1965 to 1966. He received the Bronze Star with Combat "V", 3 Air Medals and the Combat Action Ribbon. He later received the Legion of Merit following service during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. After release from active duty, he continued to serve in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, retiring in 1991 with the rank of Colonel. He has also served in numerous adjunct professor positions, specializing in the field of evidence
